KYVELI MAKRI
Ceramics & Mixed-Media Artist
Kyveli Makri creates contemporary hybrid hand-built ceramics using clay, wood, plexiglas and recycled metals. Her concepts are defined by her minimalistic usage of design such as simplistic lines and subtle subject contours. Her early work focuses on conceptual block-like ceramic sculptures of houses repetitively set on wood and plexiglas. Her later work has evolved to include abstract subjects in ceramic media such as ceramic sculptures of ships and factories combined with use of recycled metals.
Later, her minimalistic style is interpreted in vessels with formative liquid lines, inspired by findings from excavations of ancient Greek pottery and specifically designed for the art store of the Acropolis Museum in Athens.
Today, Makri’s works can be found at the art shops of the Acropolis Museum, Museum of Greek Folk Art, Benaki Museum, Centre for the Study of Modern Pottery, in private collections and various art galleries in Greece. Her latest work, exhibited at the Centre for the Study of Modern Pottery | The Pottery Museum in Athens, focuses on wall-art-ceramic elements placed on wood and plexiglas and refers to abstract thinking and spontaneous scribbles.
IGOR BORISOV

Igor Borisov, painter and formerly a photographer specialised in children's fashion for over 30 years, has always felt the call of the Aegean Sea, the main source of his creativity. At the age of 20, his adventurous instinct led him to discover Greece, whose myths and legends fascinated him. Arriving by chance on the island of Kimolos, between Milos and the uninhabited Polyaigos, he was adopted by a family of fishermen and soon by all the inhabitants who soon made him "one of their own".
For almost 40 years, Igor has developed
a unique relationship with this confidential island, promising himself every year to return as soon as possible.
In the Cyclades, Igor lives in a house overlooking the sea and the deserted island of Polyaigos.
Welcoming travelers and strangers has been sacred throughout Greece for thousands of years, so Igor, his friends and friends of friends, are always welcome.
This is where he began to paint.
First the terrace, then the stairs and the inner courtyard...

PIA FRANK-AVRAMIDIS
Artist
Pia's artwork shows the analogies between the brain structure and other human-made systems such as cities, technologies and interpersonal relationships. The junction of physical and psychological aspects leads to a unique synthesis of rational thought processes and pure emotions, and the choice of colors plays a central role, forming a bridge between the complex scientific concepts, visual expressiveness and aims to create a connection between the exploration of the structural processes in the brain and the resulting emotional reactions. The artworks thus represent a profound and multidimensional reflection on the complexity and “structured chaos” of the human brain and create a harmonious link between science, personal research experience and aesthetic expression.
KLER

and stayed there ever since.

She mostly paints self-portraits.
Through her paintings she aims to express the beauty of diversity along with the unity of the soul.
Kler believes that we can be different in shape or color, but our glance and soul are all the same. She is deeply inspired by human nature and the way that the universe works.
AKIS GIOUMSIS
Artist
Art is called upon to reflect and strengthen the experience of the viewer in a world that is created in between. The real and the imaginary. It is an effort to create something that raises questions and pushes the limits, similar to a journey to the end of the night.
The world we build through our work deals with the real and the imaginary; two worlds that are different thus creating an anticipated contrast (so the contrasts are a given).
Born in 1987 in Thessaloniki. Admitted to the academic year 2014/15 in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Studied art under the guidance of Georgios Skylogiannis, Christos Venetis, and Evangelia Nomidou in the 2nd painting workshop.
